As I mentioned previously I am not very good at taking time for myself. I run around after my children and everyone else until I am so exhausted I often make myself ill. I have decided though that this needs to stop and since I have come back home I am making a conscious effort to take more care of myself, I hear all my family and friends cheering as they have been trying to get me to do this for years.
So where as once I would grab my computer once the children were in bed and sit on it until the early hours, I am now not allowing myself to pick it up once they have gone to bed. I am making a couple of hours during the day where I can sit and check emails and do what needs to be done. This means that now, instead of staring at my computer I can give myself time to pick up a book and read, oh reading, how I have missed reading!! I now have two goals to work on, switching off social media on my phone earlier and getting to sleep earlier. I do tend to have a bad habit of scrolling through Instagram and Facebook when I sit in bed, this needs to stop. I have also always been a night owl so changing the habit of a life time will take some time. I tend to be awake until between 1:00-3:00am. But I am now giving myself more rest & relaxation, that is a step in the right direction, the other things I can continue to work on.
Maybe you should take time to stop and think, do you give yourself enough you time? Is there a part of your day that you can change around to give yourself time to do more of what you enjoy? I encourage you to work on you time, having more time for yourself can only be a good thing after all!!
